Lowe’s began working with Call2Recycle in 2004 to collect rechargeable batteries, and offers a recycling center near store entrances to increase the collection of rechargeable batteries. The company also offers customers a free and easy way to properly dispose of cell phones, CFLs, and plastic shopping bags.

  • unbroken CFL, fluorescent, and LED bulbs only
• Rechargeable batteries
  • dry-cell batteries up to 11lbs per battery—nickel cadmium (Ni-Cd), lithium ion (Li-Ion), small sealed lead acid (SSLA/Pb), nickel metal hydride (Ni-MH), nickel zinc (Ni-ZN)
• Cell phones
  • remove personal information before dropping off
• Plastic shopping bags
