SHIFT is acting as a drop-off location for Teachers’ Teammates during this back to school season.
The mission of Teachers’ Teammates is to ensure all K-12 students and teachers in Delaware County have the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.
Nationally, on average, teachers spend the equivalent of one paycheck to make up the difference between what districts and families can afford and what their students need. In households where resources are constrained, school supplies can be luxury items.
In Delaware County, 33 percent of 70,000 children receive free or reduced-price lunches.
Teachers’ Teammates is looking for clean, safe and interesting donations that will support their local teachers and students while also preserving our environment.
