Clean out a little. Cozy up a lot.

Join us for a cozy fall evening at SHIFT as we swap sweaters +
scarves, sip locally made Katydid Hill Tea, and give some well-loved
wardrobe favorites a new life.

Rather than our usual full clothing swap, we’re keeping this one
intentionally simple and seasonal. Bring along pieces you no longer
reach for and swap them for something new-to-you while enjoying a warm
cup of tea and a little hygge-inspired community & connection.

How It Works

All sweaters and scarves must be clean and in good wearable condition.

Donations can be dropped off during store hours the week leading up to
the event. **Drop-off deadline is 6 PM Wednesday, September 23.**

On the night of the swap, browse our “community closet” and select up
to the same number of items you previously dropped off. This is an
on-your-honor event designed to celebrate reuse, connection, and the
simple joy of finding something wonderful without buying new.

We’ll be serving up Katydid Hill Tea while you browse, so come ready
to sip, swap, and settle into fall with us.

A $5 admission fee helps cover the cost of organizing and hosting the
swap, and supports SHIFT’s ongoing free recycling programs. We
strongly encourage participants to pay the $5 in cash when dropping
off their items to help make check-in quick and easy on event night.

Accepted Items

Have Other Fall Clothing to Donate?

Bring it along! While only sweaters + scarves will be included in the
swap, we’ll also be collecting other clean, gently used clothing on
behalf of Lower Merion Cares for their fall clothing drive.

Any clothing items that don’t fit our guidelines will be set aside for
donation rather than added to the swap racks.
