Center yourself to build a pattern of resilience.
While our stress response is an incredible survival tool, it wasn’t designed for the constant demands of modern life that often leave us in “fight or flight” far more often than nature intended. Together, we’ll explore the relationship between stress, the body, and the nervous system while practicing realistic techniques such as breath awareness, grounding, sensory support, mindful pauses, and gentle body-based awareness that can be woven into even the busiest schedules.
You’ll leave with practical, evidence-informed tools to help you feel more grounded, present, and supported in daily life, along with a deeper understanding of how small, intentional practices can have a meaningful impact over time.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, looking for new ways to care for yourself, or simply curious about the connection between the body and mind, this workshop offers a compassionate, practical introduction to nervous system nourishment.
No prior experience with yoga, meditation, or mindfulness is necessary. Seating will be a mix of the floor and chairs, wherever people are most comfortable. All are welcome. Students are welcome to bring something to write with and perhaps a blanket to be more comfortable in a chair, but nothing is required.
Suggested age for participants is 18+, however, teenagers who can sit well through this type of workshop are most welcome.
This workshop requires a minimum of 10 attendees to run. Registration is required and can be completed through the link on this page. Of the $25 ticket price, $15 will be donated to Mother’s Home (Darby) and The Trevor Project (national).
