Stay cozy with one-of-a-kind mittens made from upcycled sweaters.
Each cozy pair is sewn from thrifted wool and cashmere sweaters, then sold to raise funds for local and global charities. This special pop-up lands during Narberth’s Dickens Festival, so you can warm your hands, support meaningful causes, and enjoy the festivities all at once.
Mittens for Good was founded in 2021 as a pandemic project inspired by Bernie Sanders’ decision to donate proceeds from his viral “mittens meme” to charity. Determined to do the same, Amy Fantalis taught herself to sew and began transforming thrifted sweaters into unique mittens.
In the first year, sales generated more than $2,500 for local charities including Media Food Bank, Philly Bully Team, Providence Animal Center, and Chester Children’s Chorus. Since then, donations have supported World Central Kitchen, relief efforts in Ukraine, and this year, smaller organizations providing aid to both Israeli and Palestinian communities affected by war.
Each pair is stitched by hand and machine from upcycled sweaters—designed to keep hands warm while supporting meaningful causes.
