Children of all ages are invited to attend a new book reading that makes sustainability magical.

An Island of Cherished Things delights young audiences through animation and Augmented Reality puppets as the fable unfolds. Once loved by a little girl, Kiira, a plastic doll, is now discarded and floats in the Pacific Ocean. Entangled in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, she is snatched up by a seagull and transported to Easter Island. There she comes to life, meets other toys, and begins her quest to learn about the magical statues called the Mo’ai. Will the cast away toys break through to the rock hearts of the giants of Easter Island?

Do some spring cleaning and contribute to the day’s used toy collection, in partnership with Unless Kids.

Registration

Though this event is free to attend, please RSVP in advance so that we know how many to expect.
