Design History Files is rooted in thoughtfully thrifted and carefully researched vintage treasures spanning unique home goods and fashion. When buying vintage, you are not just buying a seasoned product; you are gaining a conversation piece to treasure for years to come.
Every item has a history and a story often authenticated by a maker, dating, and cultural context. Choosing these older items for new purposes helps extend and honor their usefulness, honoring their quality and appealing design, often far more unique than modern creations.
About the Vendor
Stacey Vaughn, owner of Design History Files, loves vintage things, particularly mid-century. This love began as a young girl spending Sundays at her Grandma Shirley and Grandpa Lewie’s home playing dress-up in her grandma’s closets and jewelry box.
Born a year before the Great Depression, her Grandma Shirley saved everything. Her closets were a history of fashion, her home a reflection of the passing decades capturing the changing styles, colors and design.
As Stacey looks around her home, there are pops of that history sparking happy memories. She wants to give that to her customers.
