Make your own vintage teacup candle while enjoying a sampling of local teas.
Join Sarah Hanson of Perennial Candles for a hands-on candle making experience. You will get to select from a large variety of vintage teacups to make your candle in and learn a bunch of tips and tricks on candle making. This class will cover how to choose a safe vessel, how to measure for wax amount and wick selection, what types of fragrance oil to use, and how to pour and cure your candle.
Ticket price includes:
- all supplies needed
- two candle fragrance options
- a teacup candle (to be picked up in two days’ time)
- locally sourced tea refreshments
- 5% off refills the day of the event
Registration
Reserve your space using the “Register Online” button above. Because of the hands-on nature of this event, space is limited. Ages 12+ are welcome to attend. Students must be able to braid and safely use fabric scissors.
NOTE: A minimum of 6 students is needed to run this class.
About the Instructor
Sarah Hanson is the owner of Perennial Candles, a small-scale, sustainability-focused candle company based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Their goal is to reduce waste without sacrificing quality by using recycled candle vessels, providing candle refill options, and utilizing thoughtfully sourced wax with clean fragrances.
